ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14
THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (MORTON PALMS TO BLANDS CORNER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in Darlington, to enable inspection survey works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Monday 29 June 2020 for 2 nights, between 8pm and 2pm. However, if necessary, the works will continue between the same times over subsequent nights until the works are completed.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways from Morton Palms Roundabout to Blands Corner Roundabout, a distance of 5880 metres. During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
