THE A556 TRUNK ROAD (NORTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY)
[TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the A556 Trunk Road, in the Borough of Cheshire East, in the County of Cheshire, to enable the construction of a DVSA platform and ramp, to be carried out in safety. The Order will impose a 30 or 40 or 50 mph speed limit on the northbound carriageway of the A556 Trunk Road, from a point 300 metres south of the B5569 overbridge, to a point 450 metres south of the A50 overbridge. The speed limits will be well signed. At no point will there be more than one speed limit in place. The restrictions are expected to be in place during a continuous period starting at 00:01 on Sunday 19 July 2020 and ending at 00:01 on Sunday 17 January 2021. The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles, and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall, from time to time, be indicated by traffic signs.
