LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
THE WALTHAM FOREST (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION) (FOREST ROAD E17) ORDER 2020 (TT16(20))
1. The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that in the interest of public safety it intends to make an Order to suspend bus lanes in a section of Forest Road E17 to construct cycle lanes.

2. The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed or, where applicable, covered to suspend all bus lanes on both sides of Forest Road west of Blackhorse Road.

3. The Order would come into operation on 2nd July 2020 and will be valid for 18 months, or until the Council deem that the temporary Order is no longer required, whichever is the sooner.

4. The bans would only apply at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing and covering of the appropriate traffic signs. They are necessary as a result of an increase in pedestrian and cyclist traffic and movement on the roads affected. This is as a result of the Council's response to the Public Health restrictions on movement, exercise and social distancing in connection to the Covid 19 pandemic.
