(A181/B1283 DURHAM) (DE-RESTRICTED SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2019
The Council on 19/6/2020 made the above Order under Sections 84 & 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. Effective from 1/7/2020 this Order will introduce a de-restricted speed limit (60mph) on: a) A181 Sherburn Rd/B1283 (from A181 Junction to Kidd Ave.), from 173m west of its junction with A181 Sherburn Rd to Silent Bank to 35m east of its junctions with Sherburn Grange Rd; and b) A181 Sherburn Rd to Silent Bank from its junction with A181 Sherburn Rd to 85m north west of its junction with the access road to Sherburn House. (UNC FINCHALE ABBEY ACCESS ROAD & COCKEN ROAD. FRAMWELLGATE MOOR) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2020 The Council on 19/6/2020 made an Experimental Order under Sections 9 & 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 21/2/20 for a period not exceeding 18 months and will introduce Prohibition of Waiting on Unc Finchale Abbey Access Road & Cocken Road, Framwellgate Moor from Unc Finchale Abbey Access Road 1. from a point 33m south-west of the private Finchale Abbey access south westerly for 30m 2. from the private Finchale Abbey access south westerly direction for 100m. C12a Cocken Road 3. For 36m On the North Western side of the junction from Cocken Road into Cocken Lane and for 550m in an Easterly direction ON Cocken Road from the junction with Cocken Lane 4. For 560m in an Easterly direction on Cocken road from a point adjacent to the junction with Cocken Lane. (PROSPECT TERRACE, PLAWSWORTH) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020
The Council on 19/6/2020 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on an approx 35m length of Prospect Tee, Plawsworth from junc with Wheatleywell Lane in a southerly direction to No.l to enable installation of new service works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 8.00am on 29/672020 and are anticipated to be completed in 10 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(WYLAM STREET. CRAGHEAD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2020
The Council on 19/6/2020 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on approx 179m of Wylam St, Craghead from the junc with Wagtail Ln north easterly to 64 Wylam St to enable NWL apparatus fining replacement works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of closure no alt route will be available for vehicular traffic. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1/7/2020 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days (daily between 8am-5pm) On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.

(A177 SOUTH ROAD. DURHAM) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE & WEIGHT LIMIT SUSPENSION) ORDER 2020
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on Road Closure A177 South Rd between its junc with A167 at the Cock O' The North Roundabout and C98 Quarryheads Ln, Durham. Weight limit Suspension To exempt vehicular traffic from the 7.5 tonne environmental weight limit on Potters Bank, Quarryheads Ln, Margery Ln and Elvet Hill Rd to enable access via the alt route(s) as contained in the County Council of Durham (Various Roads Durham City)(Prohibition of Commercial Vehicles Over 7.5 Tonnes* Unladen Weight) Order 1978 (*1993 update). An alt route will be available to vehicular traffic from the south western side of the closure from Cock O' The North Roundabout northerly on A167 then easterly on C98 Potters Bank and Quarryheads Ln to the north eastern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 13/7/2020 between 7pm & 6pm and are anticipated to be completed in 7 nights. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(C184 NEWCASTLE ROAD, CHESTER-LE-STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHD3ITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2020
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14(1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from travelling in a southbound direction on 70m of Newcastle Rd between the Park Rd North and Newcastle Rd link Rd and the junc with the Northlands housing estate, Chester-le-Street to enable manhole cover and frame re-setting works to be undertaken. Alt route: from the northern side of the restriction via Park Rd North to A167 Picktree Ln Roundabout then south westerly on Picktree Ln to the junc with Newcastle Rd to the southern side of the restriction. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 7pm on 14/07/20 and are anticipated to be completed in llhrs.
