(all previously advertised as 2019) Notice is hereby given that on 2 June 2020 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be is as follows: Orders 1 and 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Castle Combe) (Restricted Roads) Order 1997 and re-enact it in part and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:- C151 The Street/Upper Castle Combe -from its junction with the B4039 to a point 5 metres north east of the centre line of the footbridge which crosses the by brook at Footpath 6, Castle Combe; Dunns Lane (UC 847702) - the complete length; West Street (UC 847708) - the complete length (adopted highway). Order 3 - To introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:- C174, Upper Wraxall - from its junction with the A420 to a point 45 metres north east of the northern boundary of the property known as No. 1 Dean Hill Cottage; C176 (road leading to Mountain Bower) - from its junction with the C174 Upper Wraxall to a point 20 metres north east of that junction; Upper Farm Road - the complete length (adopted highway); Upper Farm Road (split road at C174) - the complete length; UC 807402 (road leading to Home Farm) -the complete length (adopted highway).

A copy of the Orders and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 15 June 2020.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to: Temporary suspension of existing Taxi Rank: St Johns Street (Part), Devizes; from a point approximately 13 metres from its junction with The Market Place for a distance of approximately 16 metres in a southerly direction; And to Temporary implementation of new Taxi Rank; St Johns Street (Part), Devizes; from a point approximately 22 metres from its junction with The Market Place for a distance of approximately 7 metres in a southerly direction alongside the temporary walkway to enable Public safety to provide a social distancing walkway in the carriageway. The restriction and temporary taxi rank will be clearly indicated by traffic signs and road markings. This Order which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 15 June 2020 and will be required until 28 May 2021. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Days Lane, Kington Langley; from its junction with A350 to its junction with Newlands Green; B) Newlands Green (Part), Kington Langley; from its junction with Days Lane to its junction with Ashes Lane to enable Openreach to carry outworks to replace a telegraph pole to restore customer service. Alternative route: via Ashes Lane - Upper Common - Plough Lane - A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 July 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for one day. For further information please contact Kelly Wilcox of

known as Gable Cottage for a distance of approximately 500 metres in a southerly direction to enable BT to carry out works to replace 1 existing telegraph pole. Alternative route: via C231 (unaffected length) - Chalfield Road - Bradford Leigh - C169 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 July 2020 and the closure will be required for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) A342 Nursteed Road (Part), Devizes; from its junction with A342 Southbroom Road to its junction with Windsor Drive to enable Tarmac to carry out carriageway resurfacing, road markings and adjustment of iron works. Alternative route: via Windsor Drive - Coate Lane - A361 London Road/Estcourt Street - A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 June 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 22 June 2020. E) Lower Seagry (Part), Seagry; from its junction with Church Acre for a distance of approximately 40 metres in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out a replacement of a stop tap. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order will come into operation on 15 June 2020 and the closure will be required until 17 June 2020. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
