CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 3rd day of June 2020 in respect of the location numbered (1), and on the 5th day of June 2020 in respect of each of the locations numbered (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the location numbered (4).
BISHOPTHORPE ROAD. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles (with the exception of pedal cycles) from proceeding, parking and waiting in the south bound traffic lane of Bishopthorpe Road, York between its junctions with Nunnery Lane and Scarcroft Road (closed traffic lane) during the period when social distancing measure have been put into effect that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 4th day of June 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 4th day of August 2020 (event period) or at a time when the social distance measure are revoked whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the shops within the area of the closed traffic lane can continue to operate and aid pedestrian social distancing measure to be put into effect. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

m MURTON FOOTPATH NO 30/1/10. MURTON This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Murton No. 30/1/10 (closed footpath) during the period when bridge maintenance works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 8th day of June 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 7th day of December 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Murton No. 30/1/10 (closed footpath) during the period when bridge maintenance works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 8th day of June 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 7th day of December 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period. This Order continues the temporary road closure Notice which had an end date of 2400hrs on the 7th day of June 2020.
(3) STRENSALL FOOTPATH NO 3/13/10. STRENSALL This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Strensall No. 3/13/10 between Strensall No. 3/17/10 and Strensall No. 3/10/10 (closed footpath) during the period when riverbank reconstruction works to being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 12th day of June 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th day of December 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed via Sheriff Hutton Road, The Village, Brecks Lane, Strensall No. 3/14/10, Strensall No. 3/15/10, Strensall No. 3/15/20, Strensall No. 3/16/10, Strensall No 3/10/10, Strensall 3/9/20, Duncombe Lane, Sheriff Hutton Road and vice versa. This Order continues the temporary road closure Notice which had an end date of 2400hrs on the 11th day of June 2020. (to BLAKE STREET. CHURCH STREET. COLLIERGATE. GOODRAMGATE.
This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Strensall No. 3/13/10 between Strensall No. 3/17/10 and Strensall No. 3/10/10 (closed footpath) during the period when riverbank reconstruction works to being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 12th day of June 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th day of December 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed via Sheriff Hutton Road, The Village, Brecks Lane, Strensall No. 3/14/10, Strensall No. 3/15/10, Strensall No. 3/15/20, Strensall No. 3/16/10, Strensall No 3/10/10, Strensall 3/9/20, Duncombe Lane, Sheriff Hutton Road and vice versa. This Order continues the temporary road closure Notice which had an end date of 2400hrs on the 11th day of June 2020.

LENDAL AND ST HELEN'S SQUARE. YORK This Order will introduce a loading ban and (ii) revoke the exemption on vehicles which display a Valid Disabled Person's Badge from proceeding along Blake Street, Church Street, Colliergate, Goodramgate, Kings Square, Lendal and St Helen's Square, York between 10.30am and 5.00pm every day (restricted road) during the period when social distancing measure have been put into effect that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 15th day of June 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 14th day of December 2020 (event period) or at a time when the social distance measure are revoked whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said social distancing measures can be put into effect.
