Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 4 (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with B4643 for a distance of approximately 220 metres in an easterly direction; Footpath 109, Chippenham; from its junction with B4643 to its junction with Footpath 16, Lacock; Footpath 16 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Footpath 109 to its junction with Footpath 9, lacock to enable The carrying out of residential development pursuant to planning permission 14/12118/OUT. Alternative routes: via using alternative route provided and public highway. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 03 July 2020 and the closure will be required for 06 months. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of six months. Notice of Making Order Public Path Extinguishment & Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 & Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 The Wiltshire Council Box 96 Extinguishment & Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2020 The above order, made on 22 May 2020, under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the public footpath in the parish of Box, running from OSGR ST 8340-6950, at its junction with the A4 road, Box Hill, in a south-south-easterly direction for approx 25m to OSGR ST 8341-6947, at Beech Road, having a width of 1.07 metres, as shown on the order map.
