CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON
(30mph Speed Limit) (002a-01) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2020
Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordant with Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended the Council made the following Order on 29* May 2020.
1 The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 30mph Speed Limit as set out in Schedule 1.

Road_
Bassett Avenue from its junction with Chilworth Road to its junction with the
Avenue
The Avenue from its junction with Bassett Avenue to its junction with Westwood Road_
2 The Order is required to allow to reduce the speed limit to improve safety due to the implementation of a cycle lane.

3 The Order comes into force on 2nd June 2020 for up to 18 months or until such sooner time as the works are completed. However, it is anticipated that the works shall be completed by 26th November 2021.
