(Recycling Centres) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2020
The Scottish Borders Council (Recycling Centres) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 18:00 on 31 May 2020 and is expected to remain in effectfor a period of six months - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to traffic attending at the recycling centres. When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, no person shall permit any type of vehicle to wait or to be parked at any time, on the
following roads:
(a) Station Road, Duns - from a point 65 metres north of its junction with the northern entrance to Station Road Industrial Estate to a point 65 metres south of its junction with the southern entrance into the industrial estate;
(b) the C77 at Easter Langlee Recycling Centre -from a point 100 metres north of the junction to the recycling centre to its junction with the B6374;
(c) the B6352 Station Road, Kelso - from its junction with the A698 south-eastwards for a distance of 600 metres; and
(d) Lower Mansfield Road, Hawick-from the entrance to the recycling centre westwards for a distance of 100 metres
(e) the A72 at Eshiels Recycling Centre -from a point 100 metres west of the junction to the recycling centre to a point 100 metres east of the same
junction.
The duration of these restrictions will be reviewed monthly by Scottish Borders Council.
