TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF Right Turn Underwood Road, Paisley

The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that to manage additional traffic volumes and queueing of vehicles anticipated on or near theroad,duetothereopeningoftheCivicAmenitySite,noperson shall make a right turn or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle to make such a right turn from Underwood Road into the Civic Amenity Site on Underwood Road in the town of Paisley in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire: Underwood Road and Greenhill Road, Paisley.

Reason for Restriction:To reduce congestion for through traffic by creating a queuingprovision on onesideofthecarriageway. Alternative Routes: Westwards to the roundabout that forms the junction of Underwood Road and Well Street, turn right into Well Street then turn right to McKenzie Street then turn right onto Greenhill Road then turn left onto Underwood Road

This order will be in force on Monday, 1st June 2020 till Friday, 31st December 2021. This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.

The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all otherpowersenablingthem inthatbehalf,herebygivesnoticethattomanage additional traffic volumes and queueing of vehicles anticipated on or near theroad,duetothereopeningoftheCivicAmenitySite,novehicleshall wait,load orunload orcauseorpermitanyvehicle(exceptworksvehicles) towaitorloadonthefollowinglengthsofroadin thetownofPaisleyin the UnitaryAuthorityofRenfrewshire: Underwood Road and Greenhill Road, Paisley.

Reason for Restriction: To reduce congestion for through traffic by creating

a queuing provision on one side of the carriageway.

Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out

of the restricted area.
