TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest ("the Council") hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an order under Section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of the following areas of public highway:

(a) Area A which is shown cross hatched black and edged red on the deposited plan attached comprising of 486 sqm and may be generally described below:



The area of public highway of the furthest east arm of Hylands Road E17 which runs in the direction of north to south and immediately south west for a combined total of 75 metres in length from a point in line with the south-easternmost highway boundary of the northernmost west to east arm of Hyland Road and adjacent Highlands House School to the rear of the common boundary of Nos. 80-95 and 96-107 Hylands Road with a width of 6.25 metres at its widest point and 6.1 meters at its narrowest point; and

(b) Area B which is shown cross hatched black and edged red on the deposited plan attached comprising of 87 sqm and may be generally described below:



The area of public highway of the furthest west arm of Hylands Road E17 running in a southerly direction for 11 meters from a point in line with the southern kerb line of Fernhill Court to it southernmost highway extremity fronting Nos. 96-106 Hylands Road with a width of 13.5 meters at its widest point and 7 meters at its narrowest point.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest on 7* February 2020 under reference 192987.

In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE

Demolition of existing buildings and construction of three buildings ranging from 4 to 9 storeys in height, comprising 120 affordable residential units with associated disabled parking spaces, cycle parking facilities, landscaping and refuse stores.
