THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (BITTERNE PRECINCT) CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT SOUTHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL made the above Order on 13th May 2020. The effects of the Order are:
1 To convert the following sections of footpath into shared-use (with permitted use both on foot and on pedal cycles) cycle track;
a. Bitterne Road Precinct Footpath, For the entire section between Angel Crescent, Bursledon Road and the subway linking Maybray King Way / Bitterne Road East Footpaths
b. Maybray King Way / Bitterne Road East Footpaths, For its entirety
Copies of the Order and relevant map may be emailed on request or inspected during normal working hours at Civic Centre, Southampton, S014 7LY. Further information may also be obtained from the Southampton Highways Partnership (Traffic Management) on 023 8079 8021.
This Order will not come into force until it is confirmed.
Any person wishing to object to the Order must write to the Highways Legal Team at Southampton City Council, Civic Centre, Southampton, S014 7LY or email
quoting ENV - 035798, the Order Title you are objecting to and stating the grounds for objection, within 28 days of the date of this Notice (i.e. by 12th June 2020).
If no objections are received this Order will be confirmed by the Council as an unopposed Order.
