TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - MADEIRA DRIVE & DUKES MOUND, BRIGHTON
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which
when it comes into force will have the
following effect:-
a. The temporary closure of Madeira Drive and Dukes Mound.
b. The closure is necessary to maintain public safety due to the increase in speeding vehicles and provide a space for exercise.
c. Access for pedestrians and cyclists should not be affected and the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be as directed.
d. With the exception of Vehicle Access for local businesses on Madeira Drive only, between 08:00 and 20:00 hours.
2.The Order is necessary until the current Covid 19 situation is resolved.
3. This Order comes into force on 1 June 2020. Dated 15 May 2020
