Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: C109, Brinkworth; from its junction with Sodom Lane to its junction with School Hill to enable Eurovia to carry out carriageway resurfacing, road marking adjustment of ironworks and surface dressing. Alternative route: via School Hill - B4042 - Callow Hill - Whitehill Lane - Sodom Lane and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 28 November 2019 will now recommence on
18 May 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 until 19 May 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. Alternative route: via A429 - Eastcourt Road - Flintham Hill and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 26 November 2019 will now recommence on
19 May 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 until 20 May 2020. It is anticipated that the works will
take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. For further information please contact

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: a) Byway 1 (Part), Avebury; from its junction with Byway 5, Avebury to its junction with Byway 10, Winterbourne Monkton; b) Byway 10, Winterbourne Monkton; from its junction with Byway 1, Avebury to its junction with Byway 40, Fyfield; c) Byway 40, Fyfield; from its junction with Byway 10, Winterbourne Monkton to its junction with Byway 12, Berwick Bassett; d) Byway 12, Berwick Bassett; from its junction with Byway 40, Fyfield to its junction with Byway 14, Berwick Bassett; The section of the National Trail that will be closed is a Byway open to all traffic and will remain open for use by walkers, equestrians and bicyclists as well as to Emergency Services vehicles, Statutory undertakers vehicles and vehicles used by landowners and occupiers for essential access to land served by the byway to enable Surface works to be undertaken on Ridgeway and surrounding rights of way. Alternative route: via A4 - B4003 -A4361 - Hackpen Hill and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2020 and it is anticipated that the closures will be required for approximately 06 Months. The Order will have a maximum duration of six months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Goatacre Lane (Part), Hilmarton; from its junction with A3102 to its junction with Combe Lane to enable Avonline to carry out excavation to lay ducting. Alternative route: via Combe Lane - A3102 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 June 2020 and the closure will be required until 16 June 2020. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: C) Phase (a) Saxton Street (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Footpath 68, Chippenham for a distance of approximately 50 metres in a southerly direction; D) Phase (b) Wessex Road (Part), Chippenham; from its property 25 Wessex Road for a distance of approximately 50 metres in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to re-deck the bridges on Wessex Road and Saxon Street. Alternative route: via Wessex Road (unaffected length) - Brook Street - Saxon Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2020 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 27 May 2020.
