NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 32 (1) and 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and all other enabling powers, has made the Wigan Borough (Off Streat Parking Places) (Loire Drive, Derby Street and Harrogate Street Car Parks) (Electric Vehicles Recharging Parking Bays Amendment) Order 2020.

The effect of the Order will be to authorise the installation of electric vehicle recharging parking bays in:

•  Loire Drive Car Park, Wigan
•  Derby Street Car Park, Tyldesley
•  Harrogate Street Car Park, Wigan
A copy of the Order and of the relevant map will be available upon request, please email S.Eccles-Churton@wigan.gov.uk if necessary.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground-

(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004 or
 (b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part Ill of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part Ill of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not bean complied with, may within six weeks of 23rd April 2020 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
