NO. 5 PARISH OF ROSTHERNE) Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Order 2020

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on:

That length of Footpath No. 2 in the Parish of Ashley which commences AT OSGR SJ 7575 8462 and runs in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approximately 1 OOm to OSGR 7565 8464 and then runs in a generally south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 49m to OSGR SJ 7561 8461.
 
That length of Footpath No. 5 in the Parish of Rostherne which commences at OSGR SJ 7561 8461 and runs in a generally southerly direction for a distance of approximately 537m to its junction with Birkenheath Lane (C115/1 OJ at OSGR SJ 7551 8409.

The closure is necessary to protect the public from dangers posed by a footbridge that is damaged, and whilst the footbridge is repaired.
The Order continues a restriction that came into force on 28 February 2020 and will continue in force for a period of six months from that date, or until the repair works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
