Notice of Temporary Traffic Order.
Bessels Leigh, A420, Oxford Road 30 mph Speed Limit Date of Order: 11 May 2020, Coming into force: 18 May 2020. This Order is being introduced because of improvements to pavements, installation of pedestrian crossing and improved access works to Parklands Campus development which are anticipated to be completed 28 August 2020. The effect of the Order, for road safety reasons is to temporarily prohibit vehicles exceeding 30 mph from the junction with the A338 roundabout, towards Oxford for approx. 630 metres, to a point east of The Greyhound Public House - in place of the existing 50 mph limit.
The relevant part of the A420 Trunk Road (Bessels Leigh School to Cumnor (50Mph speed Limit) Order 2003. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref. T7578/AC)

Stanford in the Vale, Bow Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 25 May 2020
Coming into force: 1 June 2020 This Order is being introduced because of water main works which is anticipated to be completed on 24 July 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Bow Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via the B4508 - A417 Faringdon Road - Cottage Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
