(WOODSTOCK) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 4 May 2020 Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 11 May is to extend the 30mph speed limit (in place of the existing 50mph) on the A44 Oxford Road, further towards Oxford to a point 50 metres south of The Cow Yards. The Oxfordshire County Council (Woodstock) (Speed Limits) Order 2011, and the Oxfordshire County Council (A44 Oxford Road, Woodstock) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2005 are revoked/consolidated.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above Orders under Sections 1,2,4 & 32 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and after consultation with the chief officer of police under Part III of Schedule 9 to that Act, and all other enabling powers. The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads - South Oxfordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2008 (as amended) will be further amended accordingly. This relates to the proposed closure of the laybys on each carriageway of the A40 at Forest Hill. The effect of the order is to stop use of the laybys by closing access to vehicles thereby removing the public facilities completely, due to anti-social behaviour and inappropriate parking. (OXFORD CENTRAL TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) (CYCLE EXEMPTIONS) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 4 May 2020 Oxfordshire

County Council made the above experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to permit Cargo Bikes (pedal cycles designed or adapted for carrying goods commercially) to use Queen Street in both directions at all times. Other cyclists continue to be prohibited from riding between 10.00am and 6.00pm daily. The Order will come into force on 18 May 2020 for a maximum period of 18 months. The Order contains provisions allowing the County Council's Director for Communities/Infrastructure Delivery to modify or suspend the Order, or any provisions of the Order in accordance with section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act.

If you wish to question the validity of the experimental order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to thisOrder, you maywithin 6weeks from 4May2020 apply to the High Court for this purpose. The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely Any person may object to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation within a period of 6 months:

(a) beginning with the day on which the experimental Order came into force, or



(b) if that Order is varied by any subsequent order made by the Council or modified by the Council's Director pursuant to Section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification comes into force.



Any such objection must be in writing and state the grounds on which it is made and all objections and other representations must be sent to the address given below within the relevant time period given above.
