THE A590 TRUNK ROAD (EASTBOUND & WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAYS) (DALTON-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the A590 Trunk Road, in the District of Barrow-in-Furness, in the County of Cumbria, to enable replacement of road markings and road studs, joint sealing works, and other general maintenance; to be carried out in safety.
The Order will ban all traffic on the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A590 Trunk Road, from the Askam Roundabout, to the Ulverston Road Roundabout. The works are expected to take place overnight between 22:00 and 05:00 during a period starting on Monday 15 June 2020 and ending on Wednesday 17 June 2020. However, work may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights until completed. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A590, A595 Trunk Roads and local roads will be well signed.
The prohibitions will not apply to emergency services or works vehicles, and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs. The Order comes into force on 14 June 2020 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. For further information contact
