The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Old Church Road) Traffic Order 2020
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (the Council) on 16th April 2020 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to continue indefinitely the provisions of the Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Old Church Road) (No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2018 which by way of an experiment prohibited vehicular traffic, travelling southbound in Old Church Road E4, from turning right into Priory Avenue, Leadale Avenue, Lambourne Gardens and Albert Crescent (except local buses providing a local service turning right into Albert Crescent E4) - Mondays to Fridays between 7:30am - 9:30am inclusive.

More specific details of the above-mentioned provisions are contained in the notice of making of the original experimental traffic orders as advertised in Waltham Forest News issue 201 dated 19th March 2018 (as modified 22nd October 2018 by public notice).
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 16th April 2020 and all other relevant documents can be inspected on request by emailing

traffic.scheme@walthamforestgov.uk

during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from that date.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
