The Crovdon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping. Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No.8) Order 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 14 April 2020 made above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers. 1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:
a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 44 Capri Road, Croydon, No. 37 Dalmeny Avenue, Norbury, No. 59 Edward Road, Coulsdon, No. 9 Foxley Road, Thornton Heath, No. 44 Frant Road, Thornton Heath, No. 2 Goldwell Road in Grove Road, Thornton Heath, No. 19 Greenwood Road, Croydon, No. 2 Gresham Road, South Norwood, No. 82 Headcorn Road, Thornton Heath, No. 1 Hillsmead Way, South Croydon, No. 120 Homestead Road, New Addington, No. 141 Morland Road, Croydon, No. 37 Stanley Grove, Croydon, No. 7A Avenue Court, The Avenue, Coulsdon, and No. 135 Westleigh Avenue, Coulsdon.
b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.
3. The Order will come into operation on 17 April 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within five days between 8am and 4pm each day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new gas service connection works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit parking in Plough Lane, Purley.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed south-eastbound in Plough Lane between its junctions with Bridle Road and Foxley Lane.
3. During the closure the diversion route will be via Plough Lane, Peaks Hill Rise, Peaks Hill and Foxley Lane as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 17 April 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within five days between 8am and 6pm each day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas pipe connection works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Brickfield Road, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
a) Brickfield Road will be closed either side of its junction with Florida Road;
b) Vehicles will be prohibited from turning into Brickfield Road from Florida Road;
c) The south-western footway of Brickfield Road will be closed adjacent to the flank wall of No. 37 Maryland Road;
d) Parking will be prohibited and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time within the closure areas and for 20 metres either side of the closure areas.
3. During the works the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed on street.
i. Diversion 1, via Virginia Road, Green Lane, Florida Road or Virginia Road, Downs Road and Florida Road.
ii. Diversion 2, via Maryland Road, Green Lane, Florida Road or Maryland Road, Springfield Road and Florida Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 04 May 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 May 2020, between 9am and 5pm each day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

3. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Parking Design Team, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1 EA.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate BT Openreach service works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Hartland Way, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Hartland Way at its junctions with Shirley Church Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via local streets as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 17 April 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 2 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new service connection works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit parking in Leander Road, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to wait in Leander Road at any time, even for the purposes of loading or unloading goods:-
(a) on the north-west side, between the common boundaries of Nos. 62 and 64 and Nos. 76 and 78 Leander Road;
(b) on the south-east side, between the common boundaries of Nos. 59 and61 and 77 and 79 Leander Road.
c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 20 April 2020, and of all associated Orders can be inspected from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the "Access Croydon' Facility, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.
