Temporary Closure of Blagdon Hill, Winterbourne St Martin
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BLAGDON HILL, WINTERBOURNE ST MARTIN between the access road to Ballarat Farm and Hardy's Monument Industrial Park, a distance of approximately 90 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 April 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 19 June 2020. This Order will enable National Grid Company, safe access to lay 12 ducts across road and construct two bell mouths for haul road crossing. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; B3159 - Coombe Road -Blagdon Hill.

The County of Dorset (Prohibition of Waiting) (Various Roads Portland) Experimental Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Dorset Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 9,10 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby makes the above Experimental Traffic Order ("the Order").
The Order will come into operation on 24 April 2020 and will impose prohibition and restrictions of waiting on those parts of roads detailed below and illustrated on the plan accompanying this notice.
The effect of the Order will be to: introduce new lengths of'No Waiting at anytime' along the following roads;
? East Weare Road

? Grosvenor Road

? Station Road

? Tillycombe Road

The reasons for proceeding by way of experimental order is to assess the effects of the changes before Dorset Council consider whether the provisions of the experimental Traffic Order shall continue in force indefinitely. The Order can continue in force for a maximum of 18 months. Within a period of 6 months from the coming into operation of the Order, or within 6 months of any subsequent variation or modification to the Order coming into force, whichever may be the later, any person may object to the making of a permanent order.
