(Avocet Place, Thorrington) (20mph Zone) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order: To introduce a 20mph zone on Avocet Place, Thorrington in the District of Tendring, from its junction with B1027 Clacton Road, for its entire length including the turning heads. Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 13 April 2020.

Documents can be made available for inspection 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am-5pm on Friday at Essex County Council, County Hall E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford if so required following the current social distancing restrictions. Alternatively documents can be posted to you upon request. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
