THE M53 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 1 NORTHBOUND EXIT SLIP ROAD) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) has made an Order on the M53 Motorway in the Borough of Wirral in the County of Merseyside to enable renewal of traffic signs and other general maintenance to be carried out in safety. The Order will ban all traffic from the M53 Motorway northbound exit slip road at Junction 1.
The works are expected to take place overnight between 20:00 and 05:00 (07:00 on Saturday and Sunday mornings), during a period starting on Thursday 16 April 2020 and ending on Sunday 9 August 2020. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights or continue until completed.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M53 Motorway and local roads will be well signed.
The prohibition will not apply to emergency services, works, winter maintenance, or traffic officer vehicles and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
