M25 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 27) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Essex, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of:-
a) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between the exit link road and the entry link road at Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6); and
b) the roads connecting to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 from both carriageways of the M11 at Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6);
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge joint replacement and all associated works The Order covers a package of bridge works throughout the M25 area and would come into force on 18 April 2020 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when all the works are complete. It is expected that the package of work would last for approximately 5 months starting on or after Monday 20th April 2020. These are scheduled for 6 weeks starting on Wednesday 29th April.
The overnight closures would take place as follows:
Monday – Thursday - 22:00 – 05:30
Friday - 23:00 – 06:00
Saturday - 22:00 – 06:00
Sunday - 22:30 – 05:30
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using other junctions on the M25 and M11. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period. J Downham, an Official of Highways England Co. Ltd.
