CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 19th day of March 2020 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (4), (5), (6) and (7).
(1) FEVERSHAM CRESCENT. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Feversham Crescent, York (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0915hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 23rd day of March 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(21 LANDING LANE. HAXBY This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Landing Lane, Haxby (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs and ending at 2400hrs on the 25th day of March 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(31 COPMANTHORPE NO 2 FOOT CROSSING. COPMANTHORPE This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding over Copmanthorpe No.2 (pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding over Copmanthorpe No.2 (Railway) Foot Crossing, Copmanthorpe (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2100hrs on the 24th day of March 2020 and ending at 0600hrs on the 13th day of May 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(41 EASTERN TERRACE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Eastern Terrace, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 30th day of March 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day of April 2020 (works period) or at time when electricity connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(51 COLLINGWOOD AVENUE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Collingwood Avenue, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs and ending at 2400hrs on the 31 st day of March 2020 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(61 BOOTHAM LEVEL CROSSING. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the Bootham Level Crossing on Wigginton Road, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 2300hrs on the 4th day of April 2020 and ending at 0830hrs on the 5th day of April 2020 or at time when track maintenance works been undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route For diverted traffic will be available via Wigginton Road, Haxby Road, A1237, Wigginton Road and vice versa.
(71 MILLFIELD LANE. NETHER POPPLETON This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through Nether Poppleton Level Crossing, Millfield Lane, Nether Poppleton (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2230hrs on the 5th day of April 2020 and ending at 0630hrs on the 6th day of April 2020 or on a date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. The prohibition on traffic (other than local buses) at the junction of Millfield Lane and Low Poppleton Lane will be suspended during the periods when the prohibition at the crossing is put into effect. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Low Poppleton Lane, A59 Boroughbridge Road, A1237 York Outer Ring Road, Link Road between the A1237 and Millfield Lane and vice versa. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
