Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No 14, Osmington
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 14, from grid reference SY 723 822 to grid reference SY 710 818 a distance of approximately 1480 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 23 March 2020, for a period of 26 weeks. But it may be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required due to a landslip on the coast path. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
From grid ref SY723 822 walk along the public footpath in a northerly direction to grid ref SY723 828 cross the road to use the footway. Proceed westwards to grid ref SY721 828 walk along the public footpath in a southerly direction to grid ref SY710818.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along [1] Ilchester Road from the junction with Abbotsbury Road and Newstead Road, [2] Melbury Road between Abbotsbury Road and Ilchester Road [3] Knightsdale Road between Newstead Road and the Access to Weymouth Swimming Pool [4] Verne Road from the junction with Buxton Road to approximately 54 Verne Road [5] Verne Close, from Verne Road to approximately no 3, Verne Close [6] Verne Way from the junction with Verne Road to 6 Verne Way. Clearways, indicated by signs on site, will be imposed on each road to prevent waiting or parking on the highway or verge in these occasions. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 March 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4 April 2020. The road will be closed when indicated by the traffic signs on site.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be closed forthe whole duration stated above. The closure is also weather dependant. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along [1] Seven Acres Road from the junction with the A353, Preston Road to the junction with Brunel Drive. [2] Medway Drive from the junction Chalbury Close to approximately with 9 Medway Drive. Clearways, indicated by signs on site, will be imposed on each road to prevent waiting or parking on the highway or verge in these occasions. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. Temporary Closure of Part Of Public Footpath 74, Weymouth
(This is Part of the South West Coast Path)
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along part of footpath 74 from grid reference SY 659 767 to grid reference SY 666 762 a distance of approximately 900 metres. The reverse route applies. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 01 April 2020, for a period of 26 weeks. This order can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This closure is needed due to the path now having fallen into the sea with no walkable width remaining.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place.
