THE M25 AND M11 MOTORWAYS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 and M11 Motorways in the Counties of Hertfordshireand Essex and the London Borough of Enfield, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closureof:
a) (phased sections of) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between at Junction 22 (A1081) and Junction 25 (A10);

b) (phased sections of) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 and A282 between Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6) and Junction 2(A2);

c) (phased sections of) the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 and A282 between Junction 3(M20/A20) and Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6);

d) (phased sections of) the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 26 (A121) and Junction 23 (A1(M)/A1);

e) all slip roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 24 (A111);

f) all slip roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 25 (A10) with the exception of the road leading to the clockwise carriageway;

g) the slip road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 26 (A121);

h) the slip road leading to the southbound carriageway of the M11 at Junction 5(A1168);

i) the link roads leading to the clockwise carriageway and from the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6);

j) all slip/link roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 28
(A12); and

k) the link road connecting the M25 clockwise exit slip to the northbound carriageway of the A12 at Junction 28 (A12). These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake resurfacing, road-marking, stud and loop replacement, bridge maintenance, carriageway,geotechnical and structural inspections, drainage and all associated work. The works arepart of apackage extending throughout the M25 area and its environs. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 14 months starting on or after Wednesday 8th April 2020. Specific closures will be advised in advance on the road and Highways England's website. The overnight closures would take place between 21:00 and 07:00 hours (maximum period). The Order would come into force on 6April 2020 and have amaximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works arecomplete or whichever is sooner.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using other junctions on the M25 and M11, and by using the A10, A12, A113, A121, and A127. The diversion in operation would vary according to the closureinforce. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
