TERRACE & CASHIOBURY TERRACE -TREE MAINTENANCE IN CAMBRIDGE ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ENTRY & TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE ONE WAY TRAFFIC FLOW) ORDER 2020 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)
Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order
To Prohibit Entering
Cambridge Road at its junction with Scratton Road to its junction with Nelson Street/Capel Terrace.
Milton Place at its junction with Cambridge Road to Scratton Road
Runwell Terrace in its entirety
Cashiobury Terrace in its entirety at its junction with Alexandra Road
Whilst the works take place a Temporary Suspension of the One Way Traffic Flow thereby making the following roads Two-Way:
Runwell Terrace, Cashiobury Terrace & Milton Place
The works are scheduled to commence on 24th March 2020 and end on 3rd April 2020, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. Whilst the closures are in force, emergency services access will be maintained where possible. Diversion routes as required will be signed on site.
The Order will come into effect on 24th March 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
The prohibitions or restrictions will apply between the hours of 08:30-16:30pm Monday to Friday to ensure full access to all trees. Outside of these times parking is permitted as usual.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst essential tree pruning works are carried out on these roads.
The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS 2016.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
