The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011 (as amended) (Amendment No 22 Order 201')
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Weymouth and Portland proposes to make an Order in pursuance of arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with the Council of the County of Dorset in exercise of its powers of the said County Council under Section 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45-56 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act of 1984"), the relevant powers under Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, in accordance with the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police and with the consent of the County Council of Dorset in accordance with Section 39(3) of the Act of 1984, which will have the effect of amending the existing Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011 (as amended).
In connection with proposed works intended to improve safety for pedestrians crossing Portland Road and Wyke Road near to the junction of those roads, the effect of this Order will be to introduce the 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions specified in the Schedule below.

Any objection or comment to these proposals should be made in writing, specifying the grounds on which it is made, to Joan Bishop, Committee Services, Council Offices, North Quay, Weymouth by Friday 23 January 2015. Letters will be made available for public inspection.

Schedule No Waiting at Any Time
Portland Road
(i) On its west side, from its junction with Wyke Road, southwards for a distance of 14.4 metres.
(ii) On its east side, from its junction with Wyke Road, southwards for a distance of 52.7 metres.
Wyke Road
(i) On its north side, from a point 13.2 metres west of the extended western kerb line of Portland Road, eastwards for a distance of 66.3 metres.
(ii) On its south side, from a point 14.6 metres west of its junction with Portland Road, eastwards to its junction with Church Knap.
