Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No. 14, Osmington
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 14, from grid reference SY 723 822to grid reference SY 710 818 a distance of approximately 1480 metres. The order is needed in orderto comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 23 March 2020 for a period of 6 months. But it can be, extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required due to a landslip on the coast path. Alternative route;
From grid ref SY723 822 walkalongthe public footpath in a northerly direction to grid ref SY723 828 cross the road to use the footway. Proceed westwards to grid ref SY721 828 walkalong the public footpath in a southerly direction to grid ref
