Temporary Closure of Public Footpath 5, Beaminster
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath 5, from grid reference ST 484 044 and grid reference ST 484 040, for a distance of approximately 300 metres. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 12 March 2020 for a period of 26 weeks. But it may be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. This closure is required to allow the construction of a horse training area. There will be a locally signed diversion in place.
