THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 56) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company has made an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in District of Richmondshire, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable carriageway resurfacing, road marking, road stud renewal and bridge joint works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Tuesday 17 March 2020 for 6 nights, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, the A1(M) Motorway southbound carriageway from the exit slip road to entry slip road at Junction 56 (Barton Interchange), a distance of 1120 metres; during which times a suitably signed alternative route will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 16 March 2020 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
