STATUTORY NOTICE - FURTHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION ACT 1992
Swindon College Corporation, a further education corporation, hereby gives notice In accordance with the provisions of the Further and Higher Education Act of 1992 and the Further Education Corporations (Publication of Proposals) (England) Regulations 2012 S1 2012 No.1157 of the proposal that Swindon College Corporation of North Star Avenue, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 1DY be dissolved and its property, rights and liabilities be transferred to New College Swindon Corporation, a further education corporation, of New College Drive, Swindon SN3 1AH immediately prior to such dissolution. Dissolution of Swindon College Corporation is proposed in order that it may merge with New College Swindon Corporation.
The date proposed for the dissolution of Swindon College Corporation is 31 July 2020. Provision will be made for all 5,606 students currently attending Swindon College (1,306 full-time and 4,300 part-time) who have not yet completed their courses of study by the date of the dissolution to complete their studies within the new merged corporation.
