(Footpath 27, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of

the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the

Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 21/03/22.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 27, Ardleigh in the District

of Tendring, the south eastern end between the boundary fencing on either side of the

railway which is at the northern end of public footpaths 28 & 42 (from Chapel Croft to the

railway boundary and Frating Road and Morrow Lane to the railway boundary.

The alternative route is via: Chapel Croft, Church View, Station Road, Footpath 49, Ardleigh

and vice versa

The closure commenced on 21/09/17 and is required for the safety of the public due to insufficient sight lines of high speed trains which means there is insufficient time to cross the railway safely.

(Footpath 1,10 & 25, East Mersea) (Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and 3(2) and Parts III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To extend the Prohibition of Pedestrians on Footpath 1, East Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Footpath 10, East Mersea, south west for approximately 290 metres.

An alternative route will be provided to facilitate continued access from the unaffected length of Footpath 1 atWaldegraves Caravan Park, to Footpath 10 leading north which provides connectivity to the wider PROW network.

A Prohibition of Pedestrians is also proposed to be introduced on 1) Footpath 10, East Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Footpath 1, East Mersea, north west for approximately 18 metres. 2) Footpath 25, East Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Footpath 21, East Mersea to its junction with Footpath 3, East Mersea.

The Essex County Council (Footpath 1, East Mersea) (Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 2017 is hereby revoked, the restrictions contained within the aforementioned order will remain in place by virtue of this order

(High Street, Colchester) (Prohibition of U-Turn) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order: To prohibit vehicles from making a U-Turn on the High Street in

the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 60 metres west of the centre of its

junction with Lewis Gardens to a point approximately 60 metres east of the centre of its

junction with Lewis Gardens (approximately 120 metres/130 yards in total).

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 9 March 2020.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Aylesbury Drive, Holland on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Aylesbury Drive, Holland on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Park Boulevard for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction.
