THE A66(M) MOTORWAY (BLACKWELL SPUR INTERCHANGE TO BLACKWELL ROUNDABOUT) (TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66(M) Motorway, in the District of Richmondshire, to enable environmental enhancement works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start at 6am on Thursday 12 March 2020 for 7 days, or until comp eted.
The effect of the Order will be to impose a temporary 50 mph speed restriction on the:
(i) A66(M) eastbound carriageway from Blackwell Spur Interchange (A1(M) Junction 57) to the A66 Blackwell Roundabout,

a distance of 3916 metres; and
(ii) A66(M) westbound carriageway from Blackwell Roundabout to Blackwell Spur Interchange, a distance of 3393 metres.

Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). The Order comes into force on 11 March 2020 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
