CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 27th day of February 2020 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (3), (4), (5), (6), (7) and (8).
Ml HODGSON LANE. UPPER POPPLETON This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Hodgson Lane, Upper Poppleton between its junction with Westfield Lane and Grange Farm (closed road) during the period when culvert renewal works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0930hrs on the 2nd day of March 2020 and ending at 1500hrs on the 6th day of March 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(21 WIGGINTON ROAD. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Wigginton Road, York between its junctions with A1237 and Mill Lane (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 2000hrs on the 9th day of March 2020 and ending at 0500hrs on the 21st day of March 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 2000hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(31 POPPLETON STATION LEVEL CROSSING. UPPER POPPLETON This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the Poppleton Station Level Crossing on Station Road, Upper Poppleton (closed road) during the period commencing at 2300hrs on 14th day of March 2020 and ending at 0830hrs on the 15th day of March 2020 or at time when track maintenance works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Station Road, Long Ridge Lane, Millfield Lane, A1237, Boroughbridge Road (A59), Station Road and vice versa.
(41 HAXBY ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Haxby Road, York between its junction with Haley's Terrace and the vehicle access road to Nuffield Health York Hospital (closed road) during the period commencing at 1930hrs on the 16th day of March 2020 and ending at 0500hrs on the 19th day of March 2020 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(51 FOSS BANKJEWBURY. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road connecting Foss Bank and Jewbury, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 1900hrs on the 16th day of March 2020 and ending at 0600hrs on the 17th day of March 2020 (works period) or on a date when carriageway ducting works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(61 TOWTON AVENUE. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Towton Avenue, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 17th day of March 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 19th day of March 2020 (works period) or at time when water connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(71 FRIARGATE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Friargate, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 17th day of March 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 20th day of March 2020 (works period) or at time when water connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(81 NICHOLAS STREET. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Nicholas Street, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 1900hrs and ending at 2300hrs on the 17th day of March 2020 (works period) or at time when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that during the works period vehicle movements on Lawrence Street will be controlled by temporary traffic lights. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions..
