(Castle Lane, Castle Hedingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Castle Lane, Castle Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bayley Street to its junction with Falcon Square, a distance of approximately 120m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 02/03/20 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2291652 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Bayley Street, St James Street, King Street, Falcon Square and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 21/02/20 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Countess Cross Road, Colne Engaine) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Countess Cross Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 170m south of its junction with Catley Road for a distance of approximately 90m in a southwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19/03/20 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01456787901 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while boundary box installation works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Catley Road, Bures Road, Colchester Road, Colneford Hill, Colne Park Road, Mill Lane, Lawshall's Hill and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 06/03/20 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Footpath 32, Halstead Urban) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the
Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 28/08/2020.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 32, Halstead Urban in the
District of Braintree, from its junction with Footpath 21, Halstead Urban to its junction with
Footpath 10, Greenstead Green a distance of approximately 264 metres.
The alternative route will be via: Footpath 21, temporary footpath link to Footpath 10 and
vice versa.
The closure commenced on 01/04/2019 and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction works are undertaken.
(Various Roads, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.23) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those various lengths of roads in the District of Braintree, as detailed in the Schedule.

2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule.

3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the various lengths of roads as specified in the schedule for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

4. "The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition ofWaiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works are scheduled to commence after 06/03/20, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then
re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while superfast installation cabling works are undertaken by Telec.
The Order will come into effect on 06/03/20 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
