Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Chalgrove, Chapel Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 9 March 2020 Coming into force: 19 March 2020 This Order is being introduced because of main sewer works which are anticipated to be completed 8 April 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Chapel Lane at its junction with High Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Brinkinfield Road, or Fairfax Road, Monument Road, High Street and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T7362/AC)_
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
30 mph Speed Limit Date of Order: 24 February 2020 Coming into force: 16 March 2020 This Order is being introduced because of A34 bridge repair works which are anticipated to be completed on 22 August 2020. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in excess of 30 mph for a 300 metre section of the Godstow Village road running under the A34carriageway. There will also be occasional closures of the Godstow Road due to scaffolding and associated works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T7394/RAG)

2. (BRIGHTWELL-CUM-SOTWELL, A4130 CALVIN THOMAS WAY) (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. Order 1 will revoke/replace the existing The Oxfordshire County Council (Brightwell-cum-Sotwell) (Speed limits) Order 2017, and order 2 is new. The effect of the orders, as a result of road safety concerns is to introduce permanently:
1. a 40mph speed limit on the A4130 Calvin Thomas Way from the Slade End (Wantage Road) roundabout to the Hithercroft roundabout, and

2. a 'No Right Turn' restriction for traffic entering and leaving the St Edwards Homes housing development access road onto the A4130 Calvin Thomas Way. Redirected traffic will have to turn at the roundabouts.

* Both proposals are currently covered under temporary traffic orders which will be revoked.
