Temporary Closure of Leigh Lane, Halstock
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along LEIGH LANE, HALSTOCKfrom its junction with Yeovil Road to its junction with Rye Water Lane, a distance of approximately 3685 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimisethe likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 February 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 6 March 2020. This Order will enable BT, safe access to underground BT footway and carriageway boxes for fibre cabling and jointing works in existing duct. Required for new customer connection.
An alternative route will be signed using: Rye Water Lane - High Street - Fudge Hill -Court Hill-Corscombe Road.
