NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
PEDESTRIANS) Footpaths 014 Thornton le Dale
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) (as amended)
The North York Moors National Park Authority intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order, the effect of which Is to make the following closure In the Parish of Thornton le Dale In the District of Ryedale:
No pedestrians shall proceed along footpath 014 Thornton le Dale from point A at Grid Reference SE8333 8233 for a distance of 63 metres to point B at Grid Reference SE8340 8233.
The alternative route is to take footpath from point of closure at point B, Grid Reference SE8340 8233, north-east then north on the permissive footpath through woodland to point C at Grid Reference SE8347 8274; south-west on footpath 204 to point □ Grid Reference SE8338 8272; south on Maltongate to point A at Grid Reference SE8333 8233 and return.
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs. The expected duration of the works is 10 days only.
The Order is necessary to allow for the replacement of the eastern footbridge over Thornton Beck and due to danger to the public whilst the works are being carried out.
