TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH ZNA 6 (NAILSWORTH TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14,15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath ZNA 6 from its junction with Moffatt Road extending in a generally north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 70 metres to its junction with Upper Hayes Road.
The closures are necessary to safeguard the public whilst works take place to install a pipe. The Order will come into force on the 9th March 2020 and it is anticipated that the footpath will close on that day until 23rd March 2020. However, the Order can permit the closure of the Footpath for up to six months from the date of the initial closure. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time. Proposed alternative route; As signed on site.
Pedestrian access to properties and emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the works.
