THE YORK (SADDLERS CLOSE & FORGE CLOSE) (EXPERIMENTAL! TRAFFIC ORDER 2020 NOTICE OF MAKING Notice is hereby given that on the 13th day of February 2020 City of York Council ("the Council") in exercise of powers under Section 9, 10 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made The York (Saddlers Close & Forge Close) (Experimental) Traffic Order 2020 ("the Order") which comes into effect on the 24th day of February 2020 for an experimental period of 18 months ending on the 23rd day of August 2021 and amends the York Parking, Stopping and Waiting Order 2014 (or any replacement thereof) by:
1. Introducing a Residents' Priority Parking Zone (Zone) for all classes of Residents' Priority Permit Holder comprising of Saddlers Close and Forge Close, York the said Zone to be identified as Zone 66, that Zone to include the properties No. 1-3 Saddlers Close, 27-38 Saddlers Close and 1-32 Forge Close.

2. Designating those existing unrestricted lengths of Saddlers Close and Forge Close within the proposed Zone described in paragraph 1 as a Residents' Priority Parking Zone for use only by Zone R66 'Permit Holders' thereby providing unlimited parking for Permit Holders, the said lengths being identifiable by the placement of upright traffic signs at the Area 'entry' and 'exit' points (as opposed to the placement of Residents' Parking signs and road markings adjacent to the kerb).

The council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of this Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to the indefinite continuation of the Order must state their grounds for objection in writing to Assistant Director of Economy and Place, West Offices, Station Rise, York, Y01 6GA, so that the objection is received by no later than the 23rd day of August 2020.
THE YORK (HIGH PETERGATE) (EXPERIMENTAL) TRAFFIC ORDER 2020 NOTICE OF MAKING Notice is hereby given that on the 13th day of February 2020 City of York Council ("the Council") in exercise of powers under Section 9, 10 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer ol police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made The York (High Petergate) (Experimental) Traffic Order 2020 ("the Order") which comes into effect on 3rd March 2020 for an experimental period of 18 months ending on 2nd September 2021 amends the York Traffic Management Order 2014 (or any replacement thereof) by:
Amending the restriction on vehicles, to allow pedal cycles to travel in a south easterly direction in High Petergate, York between Bootham Bar and its junction with Duncombe Place during the pedestrian period (10.30am - 5pm 7 days a week).
The council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of this Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to the indefinite continuation of the Order must state their grounds for objection in writing to Assistant Director (Economy and Place), West Offices, Station Rise, York, Y01 6GA, so that the objection is received by no later than the 2nd day of September 2020. A copy of the above Orders, statement of reasons for making it and maps showing the lengths of road affected may be inspected at the City of York Council Reception at West Offices, Station Rise, York, Y01 6GA during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulations thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the commencement date of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 13th day of February 2020 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3) and (4). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (5), (6) and (7).

STRENSALL NO. 3 LEVEL CROSSING. STRENSALL
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the Strensall No.3 Level Crossing on Lords Moor Lane, Strensall (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2330hrs on the 19th day of February 2020 and ending at 0600hrs on the 20th day of February 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via The Village, York Road, Ox Carr Lane, Flaxton Road, Lords Moor Lane and vice versa.
(21 FISHERGATE. YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Fishergate, York between its junctions with Fewster Way, Barbican Court and Kilburn Road (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 1930hrs on the 17th day of February 2020 and ending at 0500hrs on the 26th day of February 2020 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that

the works will be completed in three phases and the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between 1930hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(3) FOSS BANK-JEWBURY. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road connecting Foss Bank-Jewbury, York (closed road) during the period when carriageway ducting works being undertaken thereon, commencing at 1900hrs on the 17th day of February 2020 and ending at 0600hrs on the 19th day of February 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed road will only be put into effect for one night between 1900hrs and 0500hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(4) VARIOUS ROADS. YORK This Order in respect of all roads within the City of York to enable the Council to fulfil its statutory duties under Section 89(1) and (2) of the Environment Protection Act 1990 relating to litter control and street cleaning. The Order prohibits, where necessary, vehicles from waiting at any time in the whole or in any length of a road within the jurisdiction of the Council (restricted road) between such times and on such dates as shall be determined by the Council in order to safely and effectively carry out litter control and street cleaning, such times and dates to be notified in writing to occupiers of premises adjacent to those restricted roads not less than 48 hours before the said prohibition comes into effect and by Notices displayed on-street within the restricted roads not less than 24 hours before the prohibition comes into effect. The Order does not apply to waiting by emergency vehicles in an emergency nor to vehicles being used for undertaking street works. The Order, during its period of validity, enables the Council to carry out litter control and street cleaning works progressively on a street by street basis throughout its area of jurisdiction. The temporary prohibition of waiting will only be implemented in those instances where standing vehicles would otherwise obstruct the undertaking of those works and will be removed on their completion. It is intended that the Order will commence on 17th February 2020 and expire on 16th August 2021.
(5) HOLGATE ROAD AND WATSON STREET. YORK This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpaths on (i) Holgate Road, York on its southern side between its junction with Holgate Bridge Gardens and a point 45 metres east of the said junction, (ii) Holgate Road, York on its northern side between its junction with Watson Street and a point 25 metres west of the said junction, (Hi) Watson Street, on its western side between its junction with Holgate Road and a point 25 metres north of the said junction (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 24th day of February 2020 and ending at 2400hrs on the 16th day of March 2020 (works period) or on a date when Traffic Signal improvement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, vehicles will be prohibited from parking and waiting in Holgate Road on its north side between points 66 metres and 86 metres east from the projected centreline of St Paul's Square. It is envisaged that the works will be completed in phases and only one section of footpath will be closed at any one time. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.
(6) A1237. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding in the north bound traffic lane of that length of the A1237, York between its roundabout controlled junction with Askham Fields Lane and the roundabout controlled junction with Moor Lane (closed traffic lane) during the period commencing at 2000hrs on the 24th day February 2020 and ending at 0530hrs on the 6th day of March 2020 (works period) or at time when carriageway investigation works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 7.5 tonne wait restriction on Moor Lane is suspended during the works period to allow all classes of vehicles in the said road when the overnight closures are put into effect. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding in the closed traffic lane will only be put into effect between 2000hrs and 0530hrs, on each night during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(71 GOODRAMGATE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the Goodramgate, York between its junction with Deangate and Low Petergate (closed road) during the period commencing at 1030hrs on the 24th day of February 2020 and ending at 1700hrs on the 28th day of February 2020 (works period) or at time when sewer repair works being undertaken within the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the restrictions will only be put in to place between 1030hrs and 1700hrs each day during the works period. No alternative route for diverted vehicles will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. 14th February 2020
