Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Swanage
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the following roads in Swanage:
Wills Road; Cow Lane; Priest Road (Gordon Street to Bell Street); Hillsea Road; South Road: Cecil Road; Linden Road; Stafford Road; Exeter Road; Taunton Road (High Street to Cluny Crescent); Grosvenor Road: Seymer Road; Bell View Road; Steer Road (C147 to Steer Road) and High Street Service Road. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 02 March 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However, it is anticipated thatthe works take place daily, between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs, and will be completed by Sunday 15 March 2020. Please note that the works will take place in phases - the roads to be worked on will be closed on days indicated by the traffic signs on site. This order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing. Signed diversion routes will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Northbrook Road, Swanage
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Northbrook Road, Swanage, between the roundabout at Washpond Lane and its junction with D'Urberville Drive, a distance of approximately 280 metres. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimisethe likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 17 February 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However, it is anticipated that the works start on Monday 17 February and be completed by the late afternoon of Monday 24 February 2020. This order will enable Dorset Council to carry out drainage works and carriageway
resurfacing.
Signed diversion routes will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of Purbeck) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014 (Amendment Order No.2,2019) Northbrook Road, Swanage - Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting
Dorset Council has made an Amendment Order to 'The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of Purbeck) (Consolidation of Orders made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014' under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations. When the Order comes into operation on 21 February 2020 the effect of the Order will beto:-
1. Introduce 'no waiting at anytime' on Northbrook Road, Swanage.

2. Introduce 'School Keep Clear' markings on Northbrook Road, Swanage. Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.

A copy of the Order together with plans showing the length(s) of road(s) affected may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-Main Reception, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester Details can also be found on the Dorset Council's website at:-

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.
