PROPOSED 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT
CALONNE ROAD AND GREENOAK WAY
THE MERTON (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to impose a 20 MPH speed limit in the roads or lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this notice.
3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan which indicate the lengths of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during the Council's normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden. Documents can also be inspected at the Wimbledon Library, 35 Wimbledon Hill Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 7NB.
4. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX or alternatively by email to
quoting the reference ES/20MPHPHASE6A no later than 28th February 2020.

Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Abbotts Road, from its junction with Greenwood Road to its junction with Robinhood Lane; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length of Abbotts Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the length of Abbotts Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that road or that length of road.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Greenwood Road, Sherwood Park Road and Abbotts Road or vice-versa.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into force on Monday 17th February 2020 and it is expected that the works would be completed on Friday 21 st February 2020. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 6 months should further works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
UNIVERSITY ROAD, COLLIERS WOOD (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, hereby give notice that to facilitate a new water connection and associated works in High Street, Colliers Wood, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in University Road.
2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in University Road, from its junction with High Street, Colliers Wood north-westward for a distance of 15 metres; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length of University Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the length of University Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in that road or that length of road.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order will come into force on Monday 17th February 2020 and it is expected that the works will be completed on Tuesday 25th February 2020. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 6 months should further works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PEPYS ROAD AND WYKE ROAD, RAYNES PARK (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains works in Pepys Road and Wyke Road, Raynes Park, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the worksi-
la) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(i) enter or proceed in Wyke Road, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Pepys Road eastward for a distance of 15 metres; or
(ii) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle:-
(1) in the length of Wyke Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(i) above; or
(2) in Pepys Road, between its junction with Worple Road and its junction with Wyke Road;
(b) no person would enter or proceed in the footway on the south-east side of Pepys Road, between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 11a and 15 Pepys Road and its junction with Wyke Road; and
(c) the bus lane on the north-west side of Pepys Road, between Worple Road and Wyke Road, would be suspended.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed-
(a) eastbound using Pepys Road, Coombe Lane, Lambton Road, Worple Road, Langham Road and Wyke Road; or
(b) westbound using Wyke Road, Langham Road, Worple Road and Pepys Road.
5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed via the footway opposite.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(b) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works;
(e) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(i) above.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on Friday 21 st February 2020 and remain in force for 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever Is the earlier.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) STATION ROAD AND WEST BARNES LANE, NEW MALDEN (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate new water connection and associated works in West Barnes Lane, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and in Station Road.
2. Whilst the works take place no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane, between a point 55 metres south-west of its junction with Station Road, the south-western arm, and a point 35 metres north-east of that junction, other than in a northeasterly direction;
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in West Barnes Lane, both sides, between a point 65 metres south-west of its junction with Station Road, the south-western arm, and a point 55 metres north-east of that junction;
(c) turn right into West Barnes Lane, from Station Road, the south-western arm.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2(b) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be available using West Barnes Lane, Burlington Road and Claremont Avenue.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order will come into operation on Monday 17th February 2020 and remain in force for 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever Is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 5 days.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) DENMARK AVENUE AND THORNTON HILL, WIMBLEDON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement and associated works in Denmark Avenue and Thornton Hill, Wimbledon, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in:-
(i) Denmark Avenue, from its junction with Worple Road to a point 10 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 26 and 27 Denmark Avenue; or
(ii) Thornton Hill, between its junction with Worple Road and the south-western boundary of No. 22 Thornton Hill; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the lengths of Denmark Avenue and Thornton Hill specified in subparagraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the lengths of Denmark Avenue and Thornton Hill specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closures should proceed as follows:-
(a) during the closure of Denmark Avenue, via St John's Road, Thornton Road, Thornton Hill and Worple Road, or vice versa;
(b) during the closure of Thornton Hill, via Worple Road, Denmark Avenue, St John's Road and Thornton Road, or vice versa.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into force on Monday 2nd March 2020 and it is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 26th June 2020. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 6 months should further works be required.
