Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No. 12, Osmington
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath No 12, from grid reference SY 7354 8174 to grid reference SY 7354 8166 a distance of approximately 95 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 18 February 2020 for a period of 6 months. But it can be, extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required due to the path being unsafe due to a land slip. On this occasion there will be no alternative route. DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along; Footpath No 3, from grid reference SY 644 807 to grid reference SY 644 808 a distance of approximately 130 metres. Footpath No 4, from grid reference SY 646 810 to grid reference SY 654 810, a distance of approximately 90 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 18 February 2020 for a period of 6 months. But it can be, extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The order is required due to the path being unsafe due to a land slip. There will be a locally signed diversion in place.
