M25 MOTORWAY-JUNCTIONS 2AND 3 TEMPORARYTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Kent, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closureof:-
a) the road leading from the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 2 (A2/A282);
b) the road connecting the anti-clockwise exit slip road (leading from the M25) to the London-bound entry slip road (leading to the A2) at Junction 2(A2/A282); and
c) the road connecting the clockwise carriageway of the M25 to the coast-bound carriageway of the M20 at Junction 3 (M20 Junction 1/A20).
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake barrier replacement and inspections. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 6days starting on or after Monday 2nd March 2020. The overnight closures would take place between ((maximum period)-Monday - Thursday 22:00 and 05:30 hours Friday 23:00 and 06:00 hours Saturday 22:00 and 06:00 hours Sunday 22:30 and 05:30 hours
The Order would come into force on 29 February 2020 and have amaximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when
the works arecomplete.
Traffic affected by the closures in a) and b) above would be diverted anti-clockwise on the A282 to Junction 1a (A206) and return.Traffic affected by the closureinc)abovewould be directed to join the M20 by using the offslip and the roundabout instead.
The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
