Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

to temporarily close part of the 47612 Springfield Road from its junction with Slad Road to its junction with Uplands Road for

a distance of approximately 50 metres.

The reason for the closure is to install a water pipe.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF MMH/1 AND MWO/24 FOOTPATHS WITHIN MINCHINHAMPTON TOWN AND OODCHESTER PARISH STROUD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14,15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) parts of Public Footpaths MMH/1 and MWO/24 as detailed in the schedule below;

SCHEDULE

Public Footpath MMH/1 in the Town of Minchinhampton from its junction with Bath Road by Little Britain Farm and running in a generally easterly direction, crossing into Woodchester Parish and continuing as Public Footpath MWO/24, for a distance of approximately 360 metres to a point where it meets Footpath MWO/23.

The closures are necessary on health and safety grounds during the construction of a water trunk main for Severn Trent. This temporary closure Order came into force on the 2nd September 2019 and is due to expire on 2nd March 2020. However, works have still not completed and an extension has been granted by the Secretary of State for Transport and will last until 7th July 2020, or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. Emergency and pedestrian access to adjoining premises is to be maintained.

There are no alternative routes but access gates will be provided either side of where the works are taking place. Closures will be managed locally and paths will be kept open unless works on site necessitate them being closed for a short period. DATED: 5th February 2020 For Head of Legal Services
