PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF A DIRECTION MADE UNDER ARTICLE 4(1) OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) ORDER 2015 AS AMENDED.
Reference: New Years Lane, Knockholt Article 4 Direction 12/1/2019
The London Borough of Bromley has made a Direction under Article 4 (1) of the Town & Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 that henceforth applies to New Years Lane, Knockholt
The effect of the Direction Is to require that the following development WILL REQUIRE PLANNING PERMISSION, namely:
(i) erection or construction of gates, fences, walls or other means of enclosure (Class A of Part 2)

(ii) formation, laying out and construction of means of access to a highway which is not a trunk road or a classified road, where that access is required in connection with development permitted by any class in Schedule 2 (other than by class A of Part 2) (Class B of part 2)

(iii) provision on land of buildings, moveable structures, works, plant or machinery required temporarily in connection with and for the duration of operations being or to be carried out on, in, under or over that land or on land adjoining that land (Class A, Part 4)

(iv) the use of any land for any purpose for not more than 28 days in total in any calendar year, of which not more than 14 days in total may be for the purposes of -

(a) the holding of a market;

(b) motor car and motorcycle racing including trials of speed, and practicing for these activities, and the provision on the land of any moveable structure for the purposes of the permitted use (Class B of Part 4).

Previously, such works were classed as 'permitted development' under the above mentioned classes and parts of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 as amended.
A copy of the Direction and a plan of the area to which it relates can be inspected at the Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH during normal office hours.
