(Various Roads, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.11)
Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those various lengths of roads in the District of Braintree, as detailed in the Schedule.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the various lengths of roads as specified in the schedule for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition ofWaiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works are scheduled to commence after 30/01/20, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while superfast installation cabling works are undertaken by County Broadband.
The Order will come into effect on 30/01/20 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Langley Mill Road, Greenstead Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Langley Mill Road, Greenstead Green in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Colchester Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a northeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14/02/20 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W00000IBBFATGA03 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole repair works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Langley Mill Road, Elms Hall Road, Station Road, Halstead Road, Stonebridge Hill, Parley Beams, Colchester Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 31/01/20 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Station Road, Colne Engaine) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Brook Street for a distance of approximately 115m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29/011/20 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034831150 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Church Street, Pebmarsh Road, Colne Road, Byndes Corner, Sudbury Road, Head Street, Colchester Road, Parley Beams, Stonebridge Hill, Halstead Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 17/01/20 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Pennypot Corner, Greenstead Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pennypot Corner, Greenstead Green in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Rayne Hatch Lane to its junction with Plaistow Green Road, a distance of approximately 355m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26/01/20 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CR4W00LUXCV3432121X - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cable works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Halstead Road, Gosfield Road, Braintree Road, The Street, Hedingham Road, Halstead Road - A1124, High Street, Bridge Street, Trinity Street, Mount Hill, Bournebridge Hill and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 17/01/20 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
